You’ve found childcare where you know your child will be kept safe but they’ll still be able to explore and have fun
Begin
Firstly, you and your child come over for a couple of informal visits to help them get to know me and my home – and for me to get to know them. If I am to collect them from your home, I will collect you both – allowing your child to become used to leaving in my vehicle. When you first leave your child, I will constantly reassure and comfort them. It may be a good idea to bring something from home to reassure your child (if required) when you are not there eg a favourite toy or blanket etc. Perhaps leave a few family photos that we can look at together.

Enjoy
I am flexible with the activities and much will depend on the different children I have each day, their moods and their interests. Activities will also depend on the weather – if it starts to snow I will abandon everything and be outside enjoying it! Or, if an opportunity presents itself – we go off to experience it. One summer I heard the Queen was to visit Hitchin – so we popped over to see her!
