Let Me Introduce Myself...
My name is Lorayne Rutter and I began childminding in January 2012. Prior to providing child care at home, I had worked within a school setting since April 2008 and qualified as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
When my daughter joined primary school I became an active member of the school’s parent association and helped take part in the events held for the children (aged 4 to 11). My daughter is now 24 and after finishing her degree at Nottingham University, began working as a Surveyor. My 21 year old son is a plumber and we all live with our ‘Man about the House’ – Ken, who is a registered childminding assistant.
What I do........
I try to let the children have a range of experiences and extend their learning.
We have a sandpit at home but we’ll also visit the sandpit at the local park. To go one stage further, I’ll take them to the seaside for the day where they can experience the beach, the sea and discover creatures in the rock pools.
